This New York client was facing a transition in management groups that posed a significant risk to the stability and continuity of coverage in the ED. To further complicate the situation, the Emergency Medicine department was a high-volume, high-acuity setting requiring exceptional physicians.
D&Y staffing consultants were immediately able to identify qualified physicians for the numerous shifts requiring coverage. We employed a strategy that fast-tracked credentialing of new candidates and maximized the availability of those already credentialed. One physician who had been working three shifts per month increased his availability to work a total of 33 shifts during the transition period.
Drawing on the strong relationships we had established with our network of providers, we were able to provide the coverage necessary to allow the facility to stay open and fully functional with highly qualified physicians during this transition.
